Why This Training is Important

The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training is part of a national initiative to improve the quality of care for people with learning disabilities and autism. Whether you’re new to this field or have years of experience, this session is a valuable opportunity to reflect, learn, and enhance your practice.

This training is not only mandatory – it’s meaningful, person-centred, and grounded in lived experience. You’ll come away with practical tools and deeper empathy, better prepared to support the people you work with.

We actively encourage attendees to share their own experiences during the session. Your insight is welcome, and this is a space for open discussion and learning from one another.
