Training Information
Step 1
Oliver McGowan E-Learning
Everyone needs to do the e-learning online before attending further training.
​
You will need to register on the NHS England E-learning for Healthcare (ELFH) platform and then complete the training. The training takes about 90 minutes to complete.
Once completed, you can book onto either
Tier 1 (1 hour webinar)
or
Tier 2 (1 Day face-to-face training)

About The Oliver McGowan Training
The training is named after Oliver McGowan. Oliver was a young man whose death shone a light on the need for health and social care staff to have better skills, knowledge and understanding of the needs for autistic people and people with a learning disability.
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is the government’s preferred and recommended training for health and social care staff.
